Attorney Lu was born in Taichung, Taiwan. He graduated from Taiwanese Central Military Academy and served as an officer in the Army. He retired as a captain after serving four years and went to Japan. He studied Law in Nagoya and Tokyo and was awarded two law degrees. As an international student, he graduated 9th in a class of 790 for his LL.B. degree and was first in his class when he received his Master of Law (LL.M.) degree. After coming to the United States in 1989, Attorney Lu received his second LL.M. degree and Doctor of Judicial Science (S.J.D.) degree from Harvard Law School. Fluent in Chinese, Japanese and English, he served as an international legal consultant at a top New England law firm, Bingham, Dana LLP. He also taught law in Japanese law schools as a visiting professor. He has had many publications dealing with securities regulations placed in different leading law reviews and law journals, in both Japanese and English. His main practice area is business law, immigration law, and personal injury cases.
